Cameraless Develop

Cameraless Develop is an alternative photography project, which I started developing in 2017 for “indeterminate” periods of time, giving rise to different sets of images.
The process of exploring and producing my images is based on the symbolic and physical evocation of the five elements of nature – water, fire, earth, air and ether (base elements of creation and origin of everything), as well as questioning the concepts of: Matter (Mother Earth) and Absence (Immateriality and ancestry), subverting the plastic practice of photography.
One of the photographic processes I use most is the alchemical process advocated by chemigrames (an alternative process of photography), corresponding to a hybridization between painting and drawing that uses photosensitive paper; photographic chemicals as well as other chemical agents and the saturation of energy from sunlight. Thus, the light invades the entire space of the virgin paper, moving between the various liquid agents and chemical materials that react with each other, transforming the paper into unusual images, as if I were a midwife helping the birth of a singular being that unaware.
Other processes I use to create images for this Project are using non-photographic electronic devices to produce digital images and creating images through other alternative photographic processes, such as the cyanotype and photogram process.
The approaches during the different processes are beyond so-called conventional limits, in a reality different from the natural. The images take me to the extraordinary, the abnormal, the incomprehensible or mystical, revealing to me a hybrid and abstract character, plundered and contaminated by the various “imaginaries” that make up it.
